    NeuroPower Neurodiversity Program Overview The EMERGE NeuroPower program is focused on individuals ages 12-25 who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, sensory processing disorder, or moderate to severe learning disabilities. Services can include initial assessment and service planning; individual, group and family therapy; mentoring and coaching; parent support; sibling support; and resource, referral and advocacy. The Neuropower Team is a skilled group of professionals dedicated to treatment that is focused specifically on the issues and concerns of those who are neurodivergent in a world that isn’t always comfortable or easy to navigate. Age range: 12 -25 Who: Those who have been diagnosed with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), sensory processing disorder, or moderate to severe learning disabilities. Many people with neurodivergence also have other co-occurring disorders, such as anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, depression, lower intellectual functioning, tic disorders, or physical disorders, such as those that lead to chronic pain. Services NeuroPower provides services that can include: Initial assessment to provide a treatment plan, resources, and referrals. Individual therapy focuses on sensory strategies, organization and planning, building an internal sense of motivation, increasing communication strategies and skills to help develop relationship, and socialization with neuro affirming approaches that support the individual in being themselves. Family Support Services, including therapy or coaching, to enhance communication and build relationships. Psychoeducation provided to family members to help with understanding neurodivergence. Help with navigating school and work settings, including help with accommodations and strategies. Mentoring to help with independent living skills, communication skills, social interaction, and navigation. Group therapy to enhance communication and social skills. Parenting groups and coaching to help parents both understand and to support their neurodivergent teens and young adults. Sibling groups to help neurotypical siblings understand neurodivergence and to develop coping strategies to deal with behaviors that might seem confusing or scary from their siblings. Our team provides training and education regarding issues surrounding providing services to neurodivergent individuals. We can come to you and can provide presentations, workshops, and individualized coaching to therapists, educators, teachers, counselors, administrators, and service providers. Why NeuroPower? Starting Soon Currently Running Teens & Groups Presentation Now forming for February Group for Graduating Seniors The final semester of senior year is undoubtedly filled with excitement and celebration, but can also be filled with anxiety and emotionally challenging experiences in saying goodbye to friends, separating from family and entering the larger world of college and career. This short-term group will offer 12th graders an opportunity to connect with each other and discuss these experiences in a supportive environment where they can be genuine and real with their peers. This group will meet weekly for one hour from Feb-May on either Tuesday or Wed afternoons. The group will have 6-8 members. Currently running Teen Relational Groups for 7th-9th & 10th-12th grades Open-ended, relational therapy groups to help members connect with each other and communicate more honestly. As trust grows, members develop a space where they can be themselves and relate more authentically. This leads to a stronger sense of identity, greater social confidence and an increased feeling of belonging in the world, which can have positive effects on many areas of life. Groups have 5-7 members and are separated into 7th-9th and 10th-12th grades. Groups meet for one hour per week and cost $50. Reduced fees are available. Days/Times: 7th-9th on Thursdays, 4pm • 10th-12th on Tues, 4:15pm Place: 1621 Oak Avenue, Davis Young Adults Group A weekly support group for young adults ages 18-23. The group offers a supportive environment for young adults to talk about their feelings, share their experiences and develop stronger relationships with others. The groups offer members a welcoming and inclusive space to discuss the challenges and rewards of parenting older children. Groups are limited to 8 members and cost $60 per session.     FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY EMERGE provides forensic psychology services to help improve the court’s understanding and responsiveness to the mental health needs of those involved with the criminal justice system. Services include psychological assessment of individuals with a focus on the dynamic and static risk factors for criminal behavior. EMERGE presents psychological reports to the court that provide information regarding mitigating factors in sentencing as well as evidence-based treatment recommendations for rehabilitation that help lead justice-involved individuals toward desistance from criminal activity. EMERGE also works with civil attorneys providing psychological consultation, evaluation and treatment, as well as expert testimony. The program is led by Dr. Jennie Singer, a licensed clinical psychologist who has been working in the field of forensic psychology since 1995.
